Rick Medwedeff is General Manager of the Marco Island Marriott Beach Resort & Spa, a world-class property that is the largest resort in Collier County and employs more than 700 associates. Medwedeff has served in this position since 2005.
Medwedeff is a 29-year veteran of the hospitality industry. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Maryland and started his career in the finance discipline for Marriott International. He has held the position of the Director of Finance at several Marriott properties with an emphasis on resort facilities.
Medwedeff achieved his first General Manager position in 1998 at the Tampa Airport Marriott and after 3 years became the General Manager of the Evergreen Marriott Conference Resort in Stone Mountain, Georgia. The opportunity to come back to Marco Island as the General Manager was one he could not pass up.
Currently, Medwedeff serves as a board member of the Collier County Tourist Development Council, the Collier County Lodging Association and the Marco Island American Cancer Society.
